Shisha Tobacco

Shisha tobacco is the tobacco that is used when smoking a hookah.  It is different then any other type of tobacco because it is mixed with a flavored syrup that enhances the flavor of the tobacco.  There are hundreds of different flavors of shisha from peppermint to pina colada.  The different flavors each provide completely separate experiences so you can choose to never have the same flavor twice.  Also shisha does not contain many additives that other tobacco does.  IT is nicotine free and does not contain any chemical compounds.

Shisha tobacco can be made in any flavor at home or purchased at the store.  To make your own shisha you will need to purchase liquid flavoring of some sort.  If the flavor you choose comes in liquid form it is best to use that for example: vanilla or alcohol.   If your flavor of choice is not liquid then any baking store will have many liquid flavorings to choose from.  Flavoring of any sort can be added to molasses and then combined with vegetable glycerine.  This mixture should be mainly compiled of flavor so that it can be absorbed into the tobacco.  Bring the mixture to a boil over the stove and then add loose tobacco.  Mix in thoroughly and let cool.  Once cooled your shisha tobacco is ready for use.

Shisha tobacco completes the hookah experience by adding flavor and personality.  It is also unique because it is the only type of tobacco that is not burned.  Shisha is heated by a coal that is placed above it, but not directly on it.  This allows the tobacco in the shisha to last longer, thus the same bowl of tobacco can be used for a significant amount of time.

Shisha tobacco is not available at convienient stores so if you do not plan to make your own many flavors can be purchased at a smoke shop.
